One-line positioning
OneDrama is a free short-drama app listed under the Google Play developer account Dovi Tools, operated by the Nanjing-based company Daocheng (brand ThinkYeah / Dovi). Launched in January 2025, it has reached about 3 million downloads. It offers vertical short dramas unlocked via ads and membership subscription, covering genres such as CEO romance, urban sweet love, costume fantasy and comeback stories, with frequent updates.

Google Play lists the developer as Dovi Tools, and both the website and privacy policy live under dovitools.github.io, fully shared with the sibling app YouDrama (whose App Store seller is DAOWEI NETWORK TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD., Singapore). Public industry media and company databases attribute the Dovi Tools account to the short-drama overseas line of Nanjing Daocheng Network Technology (brand ThinkYeah / Dovi, founded in 2015, founders including Shi Chao), with YouDrama and OneDrama forming a two-product structure. Direct equity linkage between OneDrama and Daocheng is not yet visible in public registry records, so we mark the relationship as related and subject to further verification.

Launched in January 2025, OneDrama reached about 3 million cumulative downloads (about 68K in the last 30 days, per industry media as of Aug 2026) and entered the Google Play entertainment top 100, with a low rating of about 2.80 from about 14K ratings. Growth relies on paid user acquisition run by Daocheng's in-house overseas advertising team, and the app integrates multiple ad networks plus Singular and Adjust attribution SDKs.
Risks & watchpoints
Corporate linkage is not fully closed: the equity chain among OneDrama (Dovi Tools), DAOWEI (Singapore) and Nanjing Daocheng is not directly visible in public registry records, and the privacy policy contains the wording 'VNV' whose corresponding entity has not been identified. The rating is low at about 2.80 with complaints about frequent ads; mass-translated/aggregated content carries copyright-compliance risks; and the developer's multi-account approach has precedents of discontinuing products. Note that Google Play hosts a different app also named OneDrama (com.onedrama.drama); the tracked package is one.drama.shorts.
