Short Drama Data tracks public short drama app rankings, app profiles, recent title-level promotion signals, service providers and community submissions. Coverage is selective and reflects the snapshots available to the site.
Update cadence
Paid and free app rankings are refreshed from the latest accepted daily snapshot. Trending short dramas are published only after their app relationship and language checks pass. If a dataset fails validation, the previous verified public state is kept.
Ranking and trend rules
App rank is the ordered position stored for a market type and snapshot date. Movement compares the same app with the previous valid snapshot in the same market type. Missing values are not estimated.
Composite score methodology
The composite score is an in-house ranking model, not an official market metric. It converts each app's country-level store rank into a normalized signal, applies store and market weights, and publishes the result as a 0-100 daily snapshot. A higher score usually indicates stronger current promotion and new-user acquisition momentum; it should not be read as actual revenue.
Paid app score
Paid short drama apps are scored across 41 markets. The model combines iOS top grossing, iOS free and Google Play free rankings with approximate weights of 65%, 20% and 15%. Ranking positions are converted with a diminishing-return curve, so a move near the top of a large market matters more than a move far down the chart.
Paid score = weighted country signals from iOS grossing, iOS free and Google Play free, normalized to 100.
Free app score
Free short drama apps are scored across 40 markets with a composite model that combines chart momentum, product scale, store quality and data confidence. Chart momentum still uses iOS free and Google Play free rankings, but broad low-rank coverage is no longer enough to dominate mature products with much larger install, review or monetization signals.
The current approximate weights are: Chart momentum 42%, Scale 38%, Quality 15% and Data confidence 5%. Scale can include install baselines, recent install momentum, review volume and available revenue or monetization proxies. Quality uses public store rating and rating-volume signals. Top-grossing charts remain excluded because free short drama apps are primarily advertising-supported rather than paid episode-unlock products.
Free score = 42% chart momentum + 38% scale + 15% quality + 5% data confidence, normalized to 100.
Market coverage
The current market set focuses on major English-speaking markets, East Asia, Western Europe, Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Paid scoring covers 41 countries and regions; free scoring currently covers the same set except Portugal. Missing country rows are treated as zero instead of being estimated, so sparse coverage does not inflate a score.
Category boundary
Paid apps are products where in-app purchase is a meaningful way to unlock episodes, coins or passes. Free apps are products where the core unlock path is advertising rather than in-app purchase. The two rankings are separate systems and their scores should not be compared directly across categories.
Data sources and confidence
iOS free and top-grossing ranks come from Apple's public RSS ranking feeds. Google Play free ranks are collected through third-party scraping tools and can be affected by rate limits, proxy quality and regional availability. The site uses validation gates and keeps the previous verified public state when a new snapshot fails checks.
These scores are decision-support signals only. They do not include private revenue, retention, subscriber renewal, ad monetization, spend, installs or official store analytics.

Trending short drama pages are compiled from our manual review and selected public signals. Public data can lag behind real market activity and may contain omissions or classification errors, so these pages are intended as directional references rather than complete market rankings.
